The Besafe iZi Go Modular X1 is an iSize approved infant car seat which can only be installed rear facing. It can be installed with seatbelt, or it can be used with the iZi Modular isofix base.
It is part of the Modular Concept; with the Modular base also being compatible with the iZi Modular toddler car seat.
This means that you would be able to use the isofix base from birth until your baby is approximately 4 years old.

WHAT ARE THE WEIGHT AND HEIGHT LIMITS OF THE Besafe izi go modular x1?
The iZi Go Modular X1 is a Group 0+ approved infant car seat, suitable from birth/45cm to 13kg/75cm.
This makes it a suitable option for premature and newborn babies, and usually lasts until approximately 12 months. When used with the iZi Modular isofix base, it is iSize approved.
WHAT ARE THE SAFETY FEATURES OF THE BESAFE IZI GO MODULAR X1?
The iZi Go Modular X1 has improved and advanced protection for the head area with the innovative Dynamic Force Absorber™. It also offers additional Side Impact Protection (SIP+) which absorbs up to an additional 20% of forces.
The iZi Go Modular X1 was tested by ADAC in 2021 and rated it 1.3 for safety (very good) when installed with the iZi Modular isofix base OR when installed with just the seatbelt, with very low risk of injury in a frontal crash and very low risk of injury in a side impact.
However, they scored it 5.5 (inadequate) for pollutants, stating that, "The baby seat fails due to the strict criteria of the pollutant test and is therefore rated as “poor” overall."
Besafe have released a statement in response to ADAC's findings and stated that' "It showed strong performances in the safety category as well as handling and ergonomics, but got downgraded in the total score due to chemical findings. A chemical called naphthalene was detected in one label on our seat in a higher concentration than the test’s maximum value. The chemical limit used in this test is not derived from health aspects though. Independent chemical experts have established that the chemical level found in the label of the BeSafe iZi Go Modular X1 i-Size does not pose a risk to the child’s health."
In 2021, Norwegian Automobile Federation also rated it the safest baby seat.
WHAT ARE THE COMFORT FEATURES OF THE IZI GO MODULAR X1?
The iZi Go Modular X1 comes with a soft Newborn Hugger is made of high quality fabric and has a wedge for stability, support and optimized recline angle for newborn.
The internal harness and headrest can easily be adjusted with one hand. It has a low reaching sun canopy with UPF50+, that can be used independently from the carrying handle.
HOW IS THE BEsafe izi go modular INSTALLED for infants?
The iZi Go Modular X1 can be installed without a base, using the vehicle’s 3-point seatbelt.
Alternatively, it can be installed with the iZi Modular isofix base. The base has audiovisual indicators, making it almost foolproof to install.
This makes daily installation quick and easy. Simply click the iZi Go Modular X1 on and off the base every time you need to take your baby in or out the car.

A rear facing car seat must never be installed in front of an active airbag.
The iZi Go Modular X1 is compatible with cars equipped with full 3-point seatbelts. It cannot be installed with a lapbelt.

What is the difference between iZi Go X1, Izi Go Modular and iZi Modular X1?
The iZi Go X1 is not iSize approved, and it does not fit the iZi Modular isofix base. It is compliant with ECE R44/04 regulation standard. It is compatible with the iZi Go X1 isofix base. This base is not compatible with any toddler seat.
The iZi Go Modular was independently crash tested by ADAC and scored very well for safety. It has been discontinued and replaced by the iZi Go Modular X1, which is the updated version.
They have the same shell but the iZi Go Modular X1 has additional safety features, namely; the dynamic force absorber, a new headrest design, and a modified newborn hugger.
Both the Izi Go Modular and iZi Go Modular X1 are iSize approved, and both are compatible with the iZi Modular isofix base, which is also compatible with the iZi Modular toddler seat.
The 2 modular seats have larger sun canopies, additional ribs in the seat shell for improved side impact protection, extra head support for newborn and an additional SIP+ modular which can be mounted on the car seat to provide even better side impact protection than the iZi Go X1.

No, the iZi Go Modular and iZi Go Modular X1 were not recalled.
The Besafe iZi Go X1 was recalled. Besafe issued a voluntary recall due to potential risk when using in combination with ISOfix base. It is safe to use the seat when installed with the vehicle seat belt.
The recall only affects BeSafe iZi Go X1 with serial number from ZG0247548 till ZG(0)270529. Affected seats are to be repaired immediately at selected BeSafe retailers from week commencing 16th March 2020.
The potential issue is only when using with the BeSafe iZi Go X1 ISOfix base. It is safe to use the seat when installed with the vehicle seat belt. This recall does NOT affect BeSafe iZi Go Modular X1 i-Size, BeSafe iZi Go Modular i-Size, iZi Modular i-Size base or any other BeSafe products
